Weigh Weekly to lose weight weekly

Most dieters are used to weighing themselves but, how does the frequency of weigh-ins impact weight loss?
The more frequently dieters weighed themselves the more weight they tend to lose. If dieters go more than a week without weighing themselves, there is a greater likelihood that weight can be gained.
This is because dietary lapses or errors can be identified and addressed earlier rather than later.
People tend to stop weighing themselves when they know they have cheated and this can exasperate the situation as it can make a day of excess calorific consumption extend to a week/ month/ year....

Solution

Weigh yourself at least once a week if you wish to lose fat weight and continue doing so.
If you wish to keep a more detailed log of your fat loss and muscle gain. Consider a body composition analysis

On completing a Body Comosition Analysis you will receive:

  • Body Fat %
  • Body fat weight - determines health risk
  • Body water %
  • Total body water litres
  • estimate - Average daily calorie requirement
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) - plus normal range
  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - est. minimum energy requirement of the body at rest

  • Waist/ Hip ratio
  • A record of the data

Summary

If you do weigh yourself once a week, do it on Wednesday because that will give you the most accurate reading.

A non-contact Boxing based workout for those who want an intense combat style training session without the associated punishing blows to the head and body.
These Boxercise sessions will get all the muscle groups working, rather than targeting one specific group and so produce a great all-over conditioning workout.
'Toughen Up', Boxercise incorporates the techniques of 'Western' Boxing & Thai-boxing and will have you performing a range of punches, elbows, kicks, knees, footwork and defensive manoeuvres against imaginary opponents and with focus/ kick pads whilst employing correct technique.

Added to this is a bodyweight and gym equipment based exercise circuit guaranteed to get your pulse racing and muscles screaming.

An MMA Combat workout for those who want an intense training session.
These MMA Combat Fitness sessions will improve your combat technique and massively increase your overall strength &fitness .
MMA Combat Fitness incorporates the techniques of Boxing, Thai-boxing & Jiu-Jitsu and will have you performing a range of punches, elbows, kicks, knees, grappling and takedowns against imaginary opponents, with focus/ kick pads and training partners whilst employing correct technique.

A fitness class designed with women in mind. The class is led by a Alexandra PT a qualified female instructor with years of martial arts experience.
The sessions are martial arts/ boxing and resistance circuit based and will give you an intensive full body workout whilst equipping you with great self defense skills.
Regular participants of our classes, note an improvement in their physique, fitness and confidence. Due in part to the reduced distractions in the all-female environment, routines designed to target the usual 'trouble spots' and great motivation and support.
Whether you’re looking to lose some excess weight or you just want to become all round fitter and healthier, you’ll be in the company of women with similar aims and goals..

Exercise and drills

As part of a 'It's Raining Sweat', Boxercise circuit class you will take part in (non-contact) partnered and group exercise drills.
  • Boxing and kickboxing drills on focus/ kick pads
  • Bodyweight and free-weight exercise circuits
  • Serious abdominal work to produce a lean, strong midsection
  • Stretching to ease tired muscles and increase your flexibility

Outdoor Fitness Training

Looking for a full body workout that will work multiple muscle groups simultaneously giving you a great workout?
You have come to the right place if:

  • you want to lose fat weight and keep it off
  • you are keen to get your body into perfect physical shape
  • you want fitness that is ultimately great fun and sociable
  • hours spent in the gym leave you feeling dull and uninspired
During an Outdoor Fitness and Conditioning boot camp workout, you can expect to burn in excess of 800 calories, which is obviously going to help with weight loss. In addition to a great cardiovascular workout, you will also be getting the muscular fitness benefit from exercises such as push-ups, squats, lunges, various animal crawls and climbing that you wouldn’t get from a typical aerobic workout.

Each class is two hours long, incorporating a warm up and mobilisation, followed by trail running, water wading, hill sprints, a variety of circuits, abdominal strength and flexibility work.
Every class is different, allowing all participants to benefit and work on their own particular weaknesses.

If you perform the same training routines, you will achieve the same results
To get different results you need to train differently
Work your muscles from different angles at differing intensities.

Expect to be challenged and motivated and expect to see results.

This is an outdoor all season class so be prepared for all weather conditions.

The class focuses on torching fat, increasing muscle tone, boosting fitness levels, improving movement techniques, balance & co-ordination.

All participants are required to fill out a waiver on their first attendance at an Outdoor Fitness Training class. The waiver can be completed online or prior to the start of training.

* You must have baseline fitness & be able to jog/ run.
* If you have any medical conditions or pre-existing injuries, please consult with your GP before attending and notify your trainer.
